Insulting to Women Everywhere!
Time out for some personal outrage here. On June 29th the Tribune comic syndicate ran a strip called the Quigmans. The subject was the single most insulting to women I have seen in a very long time.
I’m 50 years old and proud! This comic strip has me seething. I’ve contacted the Tribune editors and received, in my mind, the standard form reply. You know, the ‘oh we’re sorry this slipped through’ yadda, yadda, yadda.
Of course today’s so called joke makes fun of a woman that almost died from anaphylactic shock. This is humor?
Here is the contact information for the Tribune to let them know your displeasure over this insult. And if your local paper runs this strip, be sure to contact them too. No one can take advantage of you or insult you unless you let them.
I’m not letting them.
